A Snake at CMPL, MSD

Today (6th September' 2007), a snake was found hiding very near Meenakshi Sundaram's table. An initial round of discussions between Sahu, myself, Meenakshi Sundaram, NVC, and Sanjay led to the conclusion that it is indeed a snake, which in its coiled up state seemed to be a big sized worm :-)

While we were ruminating the next step, in came Raghavan & Sridhar. The latter was more for sending it up, while the former was hell-bent on catching it & leave it in wilderness (which we have aplenty behind CMPL).

Armed with a thick pair of gloves, Raghavan managed to lure it inside a deep plastic container that Sahu gave. Subsequently a team of CMPL people, led by Raghavan, took it to MSD main building for exhibiting it to various people there. Majority of the people opined that it is a Krait (poisonous variety).

The video and photos that you are seeing in this blog site were taken by me after the snake was safely inside the container. After sometime, the snake was let off by Raghavan & Sridhar behind CMPL. (CLICK ON IMAGES BELOW TO SEE ENLARGED VERSION)
